This Spring our 2013 Elite, 2014 Elite, and 2015 Elite will have the privilege to compete in the Biosteel Next-Gen Series! The Biosteel Next-Gen Series takes place in locations all over the country and pulls the top teams from North America. Our aim is to not only attend, but be competitive with other Brick level teams throughout the Spring and Summer.  

The schedule will start with tryouts in December. We have no geographical requirements, meaning we can take athletes from all over North America. Once selected into the program, athletes will travel to Tampa to train at the Clearwater Ice Arena and meet the team during a training from March 22nd – 24th. From April to June, there will be 5 tournaments as mentioned before at prime locations for travel and scouts. Finally, the season will conclude with a weekend of training at Penn State University led by an elite group of coaches! We feel it is a nice way to collect the group for one last time together and prepare them for the upcoming winter season.

The Bearcat Journey doesn’t have to end there! While other Brick programs have their teams together for a year or two, their athletes are forced to search for other programs after they enter the 12U division. Then, too many teams shuffle players in and out every year which only leads to lack of cohesion and familiarity. Bearcat seeks to do the opposite. We are building a highly competitive group for the long run. We hope to keep as much of the team together from year to year until they advance to Junior hockey, therefore strengthening the dynamics of team harmony and camaraderie.

And finally, what’s the best part of being a Bearcat? To show off all that style, of course! Bearcat has teamed up with CCM to provide our athletes with the best equipment possible. Our player package includes CCM helmets, CCM custom gloves, CCM custom pants, home/away uniforms, hockey bags, and a full apparel package!
